Network Billing Systems - Exhibiting at Spring VON 2006

jon kaufman.JPGpodcast

Founded in 1984, Network Billing Systems provides a wide variety of voice, data, and IP services to a diverse customer base that includes residential, small business, and large corporate clients. With state-of-the-art corporate headquarters in Wayne, New Jersey, the NBS family has evolved into a multi-divisional organization serving over 750,000 customers from coast to coast. With its own systems for provisioning, customer service, and billing, NBS interfaces with several major carriers including MCI, Qwest, and Global Crossing. These unique capabilities allow NBS to provide unified invoicing and one-stop customer care, while allowing its clients the ability to mix various services from multiple carriers. NBS also provides its high quality support and back-office infrastructure to wholesale clients ranging from small resellers to large carriers.

Focusing on VoIP at the VON show, NBS will be looking to speak with the wholesale community about putting your company in the VoIP business. NBS' experience in providing services on a wholesale basis, along with the development of their own advanced VoIP platform, puts them in a perfect position to do just that. All of this, along with their extensive list of traditional voice and data offerings, their equipment and phone systems products and their back office support services, further define NBS as your One Source telecom solution.

Laura spoke with Jon Kaufman - President and CEO of Network Billing Systems.

Jon founded the NBS family of companies in 1984 with the idea of providing high tech telephone system solutions as an alternative to the then lackluster offerings of the incumbent phone companies. Placing an emphasis on providing first class customer care and applications support proved to be what customers wanted and was missing in the industry. Telephone system sales, installation, and service, was shortly followed by the introduction of programs allowing customers the ability to place low cost long distance telephone calls - a novel idea in the mid-eighties. Jon has continuously shaped NBS as a vehicle to present clients with the latest, most cost effective telecom solutions. An Honors Economics graduate of Stony Brook University, Jon has constantly monitored all facets of the business, ensuring customers cutting edge technology while ensuring NBS' profitability and stability, year after year.

You can find NBS at booth #740.
