Xten customers acquired during Erik's stay include Yahoo!, Vonage, Deutsche Telekom and numerous other carriers, OEMs, and Portals. Jon Arnold / Bogdan Materna

He is a frequent speaker on VoIP security trends and issues and has spoken at events including VON and Internet Telephony. Prior to VoIPshield, he was a founder of Linmor Technologies, where he designed and built performance management products for large carriers including AT&T and MCI. Bogdan has also held various engineering and research positions at Nortel Networks, Microtel Pacific Research (MPR) and the University of Ottawa.

Steve advises a number of high technology startups on IP Communication strategies and web 2.0 technologies. He holds a BS Computer Science from Cornell University, and in his early career founded Ampersand, Inc., a system engineering firm. He lives in Carlisle, MA.

In this role, he helped grow the product line from a single platform to a diverse product family of firewall and VPN products that led the business unit in revenue. He came to Nokia through its acquisition of Ipsilon Networks in January of 1998. As the Director of Product Management at Ipsilon, Mr. Martin was charged with transitioning Ipsilon’s products from the pure routing space into new networking security markets. While at Ipsilon, he also served as the Director of Worldwide Technical Services. In this capacity, he handled the development and delivery of pre and post sales customer support. Mr. Martin began his career at Newbridge Networks holding a variety of technical and managerial roles in support of Newbridge’s TDM, ATM, Frame Relay, NMS and routing products.
