Matt Dion brings 12 years of business experience in the technology industry.Prior to joining Apparent Networks, Matt spent 10 years at Crystal Decisions helping grow the company from a 60-person startup selling developer tools, to the fastest growing enterprise software company in the world with more than 1,600 employees and USD$300 million in revenues. One of the critical cornerstones of Crystal's success was its partnering strategy. Crystal secured a significant OEM partnership with Microsoft early on, and then leveraged this relationship to expand its OEM and alliance program to more than 400 strategic partners including IBM, SAP, BEA, and Peoplesoft. During his time at Crystal, Matt was intimately involved in the partnering strategy and wore several hats including: strategic alliances, business development, public relations, analyst relations, product marketing, product management, and Vice-President of Sales. The company was acquired by Business Objects for approximately USD$1.2 Billion.
Matt holds a university degree in Business Administration and Psychology, from Simon Fraser University, British Columbia and is a member of BC Technology Social Ventures Partners.

Jon Arnold / Dave Hattey

Dave also served as President of EFJohnson Company, a provider of wireless communications systems for public safety, commercial, and government customers, leading a turnaround of the company resulting in the company's first profitable year since going public 5 years earlier. Before EFJohnson, Dave served as Vice President, Operations for RACOM Corporation, a privately held mobile operator, overseeing the company's deployment and maintenance of a digital network covering more than 40,000 square miles. Previously, Dave held executive and managerial positions in General Electric, the Ericsson/GE joint venture, and Ericsson Inc. He led their North American Utility and US Federal business segments and also held leadership roles in sales, product management, marketing, and engineering. Dave earned bachelor's degrees in electrical engineering and computer engineering from the University of Michigan and his master's degree in business administration from Duke's Fuqua School of Business. Dave holds 11 patents.

As Vice-President with Bell Canada, he built several new business lines, including the residential VoIP operating unit. Stéphane served as VP and head of many different Bell groups - consumer strategy, e-commerce, online SME markets and corporate development - and led several acquisitions and partnerships. Prior to his time at Bell Canada, he advised wireless and telecom companies in Western Europe, the U.S. and Canada on Internet strategy and technology opportunities. Stéphane is also on the advisory board of several technology start-ups in Montreal. He holds a Master's degree in Management of Technology from the University of Waterloo, which he obtained in 1994 after earning a BA in Finance from the Université du Québec à Montréal in 1992.

Bill was a founding executive and Chief Marketing Officer at MetroNet Communications, Canada's largest CLEC, which was acquired by AT&T Canada in 1999. Bill has also held senior executive positions at AT&T Canada, Rogers Communications, Jones Cable, Infowave Software and Bell Canada . Bill holds an MBA from Ivey School of Business, and earned his degree in Electrical Engineering at McGill University.

Prior to joining Surf Communication Solutions, Amir served as Director of Product Marketing for the RADVISION Technology Business Unit, specifically focusing on RADVISION’s SIP–related product family. Prior to this, Amir headed RADVISION’s H.323 and 3G-324M product line with responsibility for both R&D and QA.
Previously, Amir performed various telecom engineering roles. Additionally, Amir is a well–known speaker at various VoIP events, and has published articles in industry magazines, such as EE Times ComDesign and Internet Telephony.
Amir Zmora holds an MBA from the Tel Aviv University in Israel, a BA in Economics from the Hebrew University, and a BA in Software Engineering from the Sela Institute.

Terri brings more than 23 years of experience in management, marketing and engineering to her role. Most recently, Terri was director of marketing at Cisco Systems, responsible for all marketing activities for Cisco’s Southern area with a focus on solutions marketing and selling. Prior to Cisco, Terri was vice president of marketing at Sonus Networks, where she was responsible for the marketing strategy and overseeing all marketing functions. Terri joined Sonus as a result of the acquisition of Telecom Technologies, where she was vice president of marketing. In this role, Terri directed all marketing, product management, and brand-building programs, and was instrumental in the development of telecom technologies’ INIP Powered Partner program, which merged with Sonus’ partner initiative to form the Open Services Partner Alliance (OSPA). Terri has also held marketing and engineering positions at ODS Networks (now Intrusion, Inc.), EMASS (a division of E-Systems), and Raytheon Company. Terri holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and a minor in computer science from Stephen F. Austin University in Texas.

Martin Taylor and Carl Ford on Feature Interaction

Martin Taylor has spent over 20 years in the telecom and network equipment industries, with diverse experience in product marketing, engineering, technology planning and business development. As CTO at CopperCom, Martin was an early pioneer in Voice Over Broadband, and his technical leadership, vision and evangelization were key factors in CopperCom’s outstanding success in this emerging market. Martin also led the ATM Forum effort to develop a standard for Voice Over Broadband interoperability that has been widely adopted in the industry, and shaped the technology roadmap for CopperCom’s Class 4/5 softswitch following its acquisition of DTI Networks.
Prior to CopperCom, Martin was VP Network Architecture at Madge Networks, and was responsible for the company’s highly successful entry into the Token Ring switching market. At Madge, he also created a highly futuristic architecture for softswitch-based voice in the enterprise, leveraging ATM to the desktop. Before joining Madge, Martin spent several years at GEC-Plessey Telecommunications (now Marconi) where, among other achievements, he designed the passive optical components for BT’s Telephony over Passive Optical Networks (TPON) field trial.
Martin is a graduate of the University of Cambridge, England with a degree in Engineering. He enjoys skiing, golf, fine wine and web design.

During his career which spans over thirty years, Mr. Hall has been a programmer, systems designer, systems administrator, product manager, technical marketing manager, college educator and author. He has worked for such companies as Western Electric Corporation, Aetna Life and Casualty, Bell Laboratories, Digital Equipment Corporation, VA Linux Systems, and SGI.
Mr. Hall serves on the boards of several companies, and several non-profit organizations, including the USENIX Association.
