Dave's 24 years of technology and leadership experience range from small business to Fortune 100 enterprise and spans the entire value chain including end user, reseller, operator, and OEM.
Prior to joining FirstHand Technologies, Dave served as Vice President and General Manager, Enterprise Voice Solutions at 3Com, overseeing the defining, marketing, and implementing of 3Com's voice solutions to enterprises of all sizes. Dave also served as President of EFJohnson Company, a provider of wireless communications systems for public safety, commercial, and government customers, leading a turnaround of the company resulting in the company's first profitable year since going public 5 years earlier. Before EFJohnson, Dave served as Vice President, Operations for RACOM Corporation, a privately held mobile operator, overseeing the company's deployment and maintenance of a digital network covering more than 40,000 square miles. Previously, Dave held executive and managerial positions in General Electric, the Ericsson/GE joint venture, and Ericsson Inc. He led their North American Utility and US Federal business segments and also held leadership roles in sales, product management, marketing, and engineering. Dave earned bachelor's degrees in electrical engineering and computer engineering from the University of Michigan and his master's degree in business administration from Duke's Fuqua School of Business. Dave holds 11 patents.
