Jon Arnold / Dilshan De Silva
This week's guest was Dilshan De Silva, Director of Marketing for Espial, an Ottawa-based middleware vendor focused on IPTV. Dil spoke with Jon about the emerging IPTV market, and how IP is creating a new viewer experience for subscribers. Various trends were discussed, including the use of IPTV as part of a bundle vs. being a standalone, as well as how carriers are succesfully deploying IPTV over both fiber and DSL. Espial is yet another Ottawa-based vendor, and Dil shared his thoughts on what makes this a great market for tech and telecom.
